1. Pain management
2. Swelling reduction (ice, compression, elevation)
3. Range of motion (ROM) exercises:
- Knee flexion (bending): 0-90 degrees
- Knee extension (straightening): 0-10 degrees
4. Quadriceps strengthening:
- Straight leg raises
- Quad sets
5. Patellar mobilization:
- Patellar glides
- Patellar tilts
*Days 8-14:*
1. Continue ROM exercises:
- Increase knee flexion to 120 degrees
- Increase knee extension to 0-20 degrees
2. Progress quadriceps strengthening:
- Add resistance bands or weights
3. Introduce hamstring strengthening:
- Straight leg raises with resistance
4. Continue patellar mobilization
5. Start gait training:
- Walking with crutches or walker
*Days 15-21:*
1. Advance ROM exercises:
- Increase knee flexion to 140 degrees
- Increase knee extension to 0-30 degrees
2. Progress strengthening exercises:
- Increase resistance or weight
3. Introduce calf strengthening:
- Calf raises
4. Continue gait training:
- Gradually reduce crutch or walker use
5. Start balance and proprioception exercises:
- Single-leg standing
- Heel-to-toe walking
